Mercedes-Benz adds V-8 engine to GLE model range

The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLE, which will be released sometime this fall, is getting a pretty remarkable upgrade. Mercedes-Benz recently announced that the GLE model range will be expanded with the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz CLE 580 4MATIC®. The GLE has also be redesigned, so drivers hoping for something new ought to have their cravings satisfied. Keep reading to learn more.

There are quite a few upgrades being made to the GLE, but none are more notable than the potent, electrified V-8 biturbo gas engine. This engine features a 48-volt onboard electrical system as well as an integrated starter generator. And with 483 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque, this is one of the most powerful engines in the entire Mercedes-Benz lineup. Through EQ Boost and energy recuperation, the GLE 580 can produce an additional 21 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. Drivers who have been hoping for more oomph will get it from the 2020 GLE 580 4MATIC®.

2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE 580 4MATIC® new features
