The feeling of getting one’s license is something special. When you’re a teenager, all you want is to be able to drive yourself and your friends around. Keep your phone out of sight

This goes for every driver, but it’s especially important for young ones. Developing good driving habits at a young age is crucial. If you begin your driving career without your phone nearby, you will always be less tempted to use it. Texting while driving is one of the leading causes of car accidents, so just keep it turned off and in a place you can’t reach it like the back seat or the glove box.

You shouldn’t take more than two friends in your car at a time while you are still getting used to driving. Your license restrictions might require that you drive alone or with an adult anyway, but it’s still a good idea to limit your passenger count even after your restrictions expire. This keeps the noise level down and minimizes your distractions.

Take it slow

It’s more important now than ever to follow the rules of the road. This helps form good habits and it will prevent you from getting expensive fines or points off your license. Everyone is in a rush, but you still have to be safe and smart. Don’t go more than a few mph over the posted speed limit and you will be just fine. We hope these tips keep you informed and safe out on the roads!
