If you drive a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, you are no stranger to the advanced technologies that come with it. One of tech features that come standard in all E-Class vehicles is the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, which keeps an eye on the individual pressure of each tire to ensure maximum reliability and safety. If you are unsure as to what pressure your E-Class model’s tires should be at, take a look at our recommendations below.
2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Tire Pressure Recommendations*
Generally, the front tires on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class should be inflated anywhere between 30-33 pounds per square inch, or “psi,” while your rear tire pressure should be around 35-42 psi. As is standard with most Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the 2017 E-Class uses different inflation levels for its two sets of tires to give the driver better handling or a more comfortable ride. If you notice your Tire Pressure Monitoring System is detecting low pressure, it’s important to immediately visit your nearest air station and fill to the proper levels, as low pressure can compromise safety and efficiency.
Do the tires on your E-Class need a little attention? Then be sure to visit our service center here at Mercedes-Benz of Salem. We can help get those tires into tip-top shape, as well as provide you with other routine maintenance jobs like oil changes, front end alignment, coolant flush, and more. You can schedule an appointment with us by using our helpful online scheduler tool located here.
*Please note, our recommendations are approximate, so be sure to consult your owner’s manual for exact specifications.

The base model of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the C300 Sedan, measures in at 184.5 inches compared to the base model E-Class E300, which is at 193.8 inches. The increase in inches leaves the E-Class E300 with more space in the interior, boasting 36.2 inches of legroom in the back compared to the C-Class C300’s 35.2 inches. There is also more space in the trunk in the E-Class, with 13.1 cu ft compared to 12.6 cu ft.

In the C300 you will find a 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine paired with a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission that gets 241 hp @ 5,550 rpm and goes 0-60 miles per hour in 6.0 seconds. The E300 comes standard with a 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine as well, however, it is paired with a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission and has roughly the same amount of power. Highway fuel efficiency differs by 4 miles per gallon, with the C-Class coming in at 34 MPG and the E-Class coming in at 30 MPG.
Finally, convenience features differ greatly between these two vehicles, with the E-Class coming available with an all-new 12.3-inch high-resolution display that can be paired with another 12.3 high-resolution display for a giant floating touchscreen across your dash. The C-Class also comes available with a display, only this one is 8.4-inches and sits atop the dashboard. Both vehicles come available with a touchpad controller, headup display, and navigation, but only the E-Class features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Your 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300 is a well-oiled machine, with every part working efficiently in unison to create artwork on the road. One of the most important parts of a Mercedes-Benz that can often get overlooked is the tires. In order to keep your C300 running smoothly, it’s important to keep your tires inflated at the recommended PSI. This ensures a safer and more fuel-efficient drive.

The Tire Pressure Monitor tracks your vehicle’s tire pressures by using sensors in each of the four tires and can warn you of pressure loss by lighting up an indicator on your instrument cluster. You can also use the TPMS to check each tire’s pressure. You do this by switching on the ignition and following these quick and easy steps:

It’s easy to come to the decision that the Mercedes-Benz brand is right for you, but with so many great models to choose from, some may find it difficult to settle on just one vehicle. Another difficult part of finding the right model is telling the difference between similar models. That’s why we’re pointing out some of the bigger differences between the popular C-Class and CLA-Class.
The most obvious difference between the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class is their sizes. The C-Class offers 2 extra inches in length, which results in an additional 8 inches of legroom for rear passengers. That being said, the CLA-Class offers more in terms of cargo space.
Another major area of difference between the two models is in their power output. The C-Class, namely the C300, offers a more powerful engine than the CLA-Class, offering 241 horsepower over the CLA-Class’s 208 horsepower.
The models also offer significant differences in terms of available interior technology. While the models feature many of the same technologies, you’ll find that more can be found standard on the C-Class, while the CLA-Class requires some upgrading in order to get popular features like Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Power-folding side mirrors, push-button start, etc.
Of course, there are many benefits to opting for the C-Class, however, it comes at a higher price than the CLA-Class. So if you’re on a budget and looking for a more affordable luxury sedan, you may find that the CLA-Class is a more practical choice.

The Mercedes-Benz line offers a selection of great passenger models. Not only do they offer plenty of space for passengers to sit comfortably, but they also provide a spacious cargo area for transporting gear and luggage. If you’re looking for a new SUV that offers plenty of space inside, here are a few of the brand’s most spacious models.
Most Cargo Space
The Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicle with the most maximum amount of cargo space, excluding the Sprinter, is the GLS SUV. This seven-row SUV offers 16 cubic feet behind its third row, however by folding down its second and third row seats, the GLS expands to a spacious 93.8 cubic feet.
That being said, the model with the most designated cargo space, with all of its seats in place is the G-Class, which offers a total of 40.3 cubic feet. Folding down its second row seat opens up a total of 75.1 cubic feet.
Most Passenger Space
If we’re talking seating capacity, the GLS is once again the winner, offering seating for up to seven passengers. But if you’re thinking more along the lines of space for each passenger, then the G-Class takes the cake again. It’s high roof and rectangular shape allows it to offer superior head and legroom for all of its passengers.
